Thin blue line, honoring the men and women who serve and protect.
In 1854, at the battle of Balaclava, the British Army called themselves "Thin RED Line," referring to their battle formation and color of their uniforms which were red. 'The Thin Blue Line' dates back to 1911 when it was used by the US Army, who wore blue uniforms at the time. It was not until the 1960's that the association with police officers begin in which a documentary explored the brotherhood of policing.
Today this symbol represents the men and women in blue to honor their sacrifice and dedication to our safety.
Make this flag the centerpiece to an entryway wall, living room or man cave.
